Outofstock belongs to the group of six talented designers from different countries who showcased their creative works under the “Rising Asian Talents” banner, during Maison&Objet Asia trade fair in Singapore 2015.
This design studio comprises four creative minds from different cultures who met in 2005 at the Electrolux Design Lab competition in Stockholm – hence the name Outofstock.
Gabriel Tan and Wendy Chua from Singapore, Gustavo Maggio from Argentina, and Sebastián Alberdi from Spain decided to collaborate in 2006 and, today, their practice offers product, furniture, lighting, and spatial experience design.
The group was also named Elle Decor Spain’s Young Designer of the Year 2008 while its Black Forest table won Singapore’s President Design Award 2010-Design of the Year.
